Adaptive Lessons

If you are looking for music lessons that use an alternative approach compared to traditional lessons, adaptive lessons may be a good fit for you! Adaptive lessons differ from music therapy as they focus on developing musical skills instead of therapeutic goals.

Adaptive lessons involve meeting the student where they’re at and discovering learning methods that best support them. Each lesson is taught by a board-certified music therapist.

You may consider adaptive lessons if the student…

  • Has an intellectual, developmental, or learning disability

  • Is neurodivergent

  • Has a physical disability or difference

  • Struggles with frustration tolerance or self-regulation

  • Has not benefited from traditional lessons

We are currently accepting students in Salem and the greater Portland Metro Area.

We teach lessons for the following instruments:

  • Guitar

  • Ukulele

  • Voice

  • Piano
